We encourage you to visit our campus to get a first-hand view of the Yale SOM experience.
Campus Visit
The best time to visit our campus is during the academic year when classes are in session. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the Yale SOM community first-hand and engage with the people who make our program unique.
A typical visit includes the opportunity to attend an MBA class, take a tour of the Yale SOM campus, have lunch with students, and participate in a Q&A session with an admissions officer.
Since classes have ended for the year, we won’t offer a formal visit program for the next few months. Campus visits will resume on September 14, 2009, so please check our website in August to schedule your visit.
If you’ll be in New Haven this summer and would like to visit, we’re happy to take you on a tour of the Yale SOM buildings and answer any questions you may have about the admissions process. To plan a summer visit, please call 203-432-6380. The Admissions Visitor Center will be closed periodically over the next few months, so please be sure to make arrangements in advance of your visit.Interviews
Interviews are conducted by invitation of the Admissions Committee. If you receive an interview invitation, please schedule your interview through the link in the invitation e-mail. Once your interview appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation. If you have trouble scheduling or don’t receive a confirmatory email, please call the Admissions Visitor Center at 203.432.6380.
Because interviews occur throughout the day, there is ample time to participate in the other elements of a campus visit — Admissions Q&A, tour, lunch, and class visit — while you are here for your interview. We will automatically include you in these activities when you schedule your interview.
Connect with a Student
Check out our Admissions Ambassadors page to get a sense of the wide range of student backgrounds at SOM. You may see someone who went to your alma mater, is from your hometown, or worked at your company. Feel free to reach out to the Admissions Ambassadors for questions about student life, classes, or to meet for coffee or lunch while you’re on campus.

Visiting Yale University and New Haven
While you’re visiting the SOM campus, you may want to explore parts of the greater University and the City of New Haven. Please visit the Yale University Visitors Gateway or INFO New Haven to find out more information about art museums, restaurants, and other attractions at Yale and throughout New Haven; and the Yale University Tours page to learn more about tours of the University. In addition to guided tours of Yale, there is also a self-guided tour of the University, including a new, self-guided MP3 audio tour. Copies of the self-guided tour map and route are available at the Admissions Visitor Center.Questions?
If you still have questions about SOM after your campus visit, feel free to post on our discussion board. The Admissions Committee monitors its section of the board daily, and there is also a forum for questions directed toward students.
