We encourage you to visit our campus to get a first-hand view of the Yale SOM experience. Campus visits begin on Monday, September 14th and continue throughout the academic year from Monday through Thursday when classes are in session. Please schedule your campus visit through the online scheduler. If you have difficulty scheduling your visit online, please contact our office at 203.432.6380.

Campus Visit

While on campus you can take a tour, visit a class, and have lunch with students all in one day. The schedule looks like this:

9:30 a.m.	Welcome
10:00 a.m.	Class
11:25 a.m	Tour and Lunch
1:00 p.m.	Class
2:30 p.m.	Admissions Q & A Session

Visiting a Class
You will receive a schedule of the day’s available classes when you arrive on campus. We encourage you to arrive at the Admissions Visitor Center 20 minutes before class is scheduled to begin. To be fair to our students and faculty and to minimize disruptions, we cannot escort you into class if you arrive less than 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Tour and Lunch
At 11:25 a.m., students will take you on a tour of the SOM campus, and then to SOM’s dining hall (Donaldson Commons) where you can purchase lunch and join them in conversation. Tours leave the Admissions Visitor Center promptly at the scheduled departure time, so please try to arrive a few minutes early. Please keep in mind that this tour covers SOM only.

Admissions Q&A Session
Do you have questions about the application or admissions process? An Admissions Officer will be on hand to answer your questions and help demystify the process.

Interviews

Interviews are conducted by invitation of the Admissions Committee. If you receive an interview invitation, please schedule your interview through the link in the invitation e-mail. Once your interview appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation. If you have trouble scheduling or don’t receive a confirmatory email, please call the Admissions Visitor Center at 203.432.6380.

Because interviews occur throughout the day, there is ample time to participate in the other elements of a campus visit — Admissions Q&A, tour, lunch, and class visit — while you are here for your interview. We will automatically include you in these activities when you schedule your interview.

Visiting Yale University and New Haven

While you’re visiting the SOM campus, you may want to explore parts of the greater University and the City of New Haven. Please visit the Yale University Visitors Gateway or INFO New Haven to find out more information about art museums, restaurants, and other attractions at Yale and throughout New Haven; and the Yale University Tours page to learn more about tours of the University. In addition to guided tours of Yale, there is also a self-guided tour of the University, including a new, self-guided MP3 audio tour. Copies of the self-guided tour map and route are available at the Admissions Visitor Center.
