"During its foundation years, Yale SOM's entrepreneurial spirit imbued me with a sense of optimism that change was possible and that it was up to individuals (like me) to make it happen. However, having come from a highly individual and competitive university background, the focus on group work also taught me the importance of teams and listening to others with very different backgrounds and skill sets. In particular, I learned that anything worthwhile was almost always achieved in collaboration with others. This adjustment was challenging, but it enabled me to create life-long friendships which have supported me and helped me to keep perspective during the inevitable twists and turns of an entrepreneurial career. I am also pleased to see that Yale SOM has grown in its international emphasis and integration into the University. The world-class thinkers to whom I was exposed encouraged me to think globally and measure my efforts and impact on a global basis. This continues today."

Anne is a co-Founder and chief executive of Amadeus Capital Partners Limited, the management company that provides investment services to three venture capital funds, Amadeus I and II and the recently formed Amadeus Mobile Seed Fund. In Anne’s current position, she brings together her many threads of experience — as a scientist, operating manager, and venture capitalist. She has prior experience working in venture capital, first at Apax Partners & Co. Ventures, where she was a member of the investment team for five years and subsequently in Calderstone Capital, the firm she founded to provide advice to UK-based information technology start-ups.

Anne has also had significant management experience, most recently at Virtuality Group plc where she was chief operating officer of the virtual reality peripherals company. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of management positions with Cummins Engine, the US manufacturing company. Anne also spent five years with Bain & Co., in Boston, as a consultant and manager.

She holds an MA in Metallurgy & Materials Science from Clare College, Cambridge, and a Master's in Public and Private Management from Yale School of Management.
