Bo Hopkins '86 Managing Partner
CM Equity Partners

Back

"Yale SOM is one of those rare watershed periods in life where perspective and opportunity alter radically as a result of the experience. Through Yale SOM I have met some of the most thoughtful leaders and change-agents of my generation, and studied under world-class faculty members and business practitioners. The disciplined learning environment, coupled with exposure to the broad base of unstructured knowledge harbored by the student body, made team building both a challenge and a reward at the same time. Over the last twenty years of my professional career, I have consistently looked back to my experiences at Yale SOM, which have provided me with the foundation and confidence to invest in and manage complex organizations."

Mr. Hopkins is a partner and has been associated, since 1999, with CM Equity Partners (CMEP), a private equity investment firm which makes controlling investments in middle-market companies operating primarily in the United States and Canada. From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Hopkins was an investment banker, culminating at Kidder Peabody, Inc., where he was vice president and director of the private business group specializing in raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, and developing strategic alternatives for privately-held, middle-market companies.
