sectors attended this two-week program sponsored by a major Russian
oil company. The program aimed to provide these business executives
and policymakers with an understanding of business as an integral
part of civil society and societal development.

In cooperation with the Academy of Management, University of Groningen,

in General Management 
This two-week program at Yale SOM was designed to give high-level
executives of a major pharmaceutical company in China the knowledge
to help them make better management decisions. The participants
were exposed to innovative business concepts which helped them
develop a better understanding of the changes in the global economy.
In addition, the program provided the participants a strong foundation
of integrated, cross-functional knowledge and skills so that they
could competitively position their business into the future.

Education Program 
In cooperation with the World Bank Forum, Yale SOM offered a ten-day
program designed to assist regional Director Training Institutes,
by advancing the knowledge base and skill sets of good corporate
governance. Good corporate governance includes all the measures
that can be voluntarily undertaken by managers, directors, and
shareholders to provide assurance to investors that they are protected,
and at the same time, take cognizance of the corporation's social
responsibilities.

Management for Ophthalmic
Surgeons and Administrators 
This program, offered in coordination with ASCRS/ASOA (American
Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery and American Society
for Ophthalmic Administration), addressed the critical business
and management needs of individuals involved in ophthalmic medical
practices and associated businesses.

developed individual leadership profiles comparing participants
to more than 150,000 senior managers based on a pre-workshop analysis
of 30 real-life situations.
