A Look at the Architect, Foster + Partners
In September 2007, Yale University announced that Foster + Partners had been selected, after an international competition, to design SOM’s new campus. The firm, chaired by Pritzker Prize Laureate Lord Norman Foster ARCH ’62 HON ’03, has designed landmark buildings around the world, including the Hearst Tower in New York City and Terminal 3 at the Beijing Capital International Airport, the largest single building on the planet. Working with a host of specialized consultants, Foster + Partners is developing plans for a physical space that can help realize the full potential of the Yale integrated MBA curriculum.
