Millstein Center Lunch Forum on Corporate Governance: Challenges & Opportunities for Directors in South Africa

New Haven, Conn., September 12, 2007 — Namhla Thina Siwendu, founding partner of the South African law firm Siwendu & Partners Inc., will deliver the first lecture in this year’s Millstein Center Lunch Forum on Corporate Governance.

Ms. Siwendu will speak on “Giving Corporate Governance a Human Face: Challenges and Opportunities for Directors in South Africa,” Monday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m. in Room A30 of the Yale School of Management’s Watson Center, 60 Sachem Street.

Siwendu & Partners Inc. has offices in Durban and Johannesburg. Ms. Siwendu heads the firm’s Corporate Governance and Corporate Law Division and is the chairman of the firm’s Property Law division, Siwendu GHP. She is a visiting research fellow for the year at the recently launched Unit for Corporate Governance in Africa, University of Stellenbosch Business School, Cape Town.

The Millstein Center Lunch Forum on Corporate Governance Series focuses on key current issues in corporate governance and brings to Yale distinguished managers, regulators, lawyers, and other practitioners of corporate governance.
