Reunions: Returning, Reconnecting, Re-energizing

More than 400 SOM graduates and guests from across the U.S., and an amazing array of countries spanning five continents, gathered at the School for two Reunion Weekends. In September, the Class of 1982 celebrated their 25th anniversary, and in October the Classes of 1987, 1992, 1997 and 2002 marked their 20th, 15th, tenth and fifth anniversaries.

Festivities included conversations with the Dean, gala receptions and class dinners, and plenty of time together in the Hall of Mirrors. Idea Exchange sessions initiated and facilitated by reunion class alumni and faculty speakers resulted in lively discussions about such topics as ‘Managing Through and Rebounding from Adversity,’ ‘Re-inventing Lives,' ‘Great Ideas We Live By,’ ‘Private Equity and Public Ownership,’ ‘Technology: Which Button Do You Press Next?,’ ‘The Promise and Backlash of Globalization,’ and ‘Lifelong Entrepreneurship. Additional sessions included career directions workshops with CDO staff and an introduction to the College Admissions process for alumni whose children are beginning this next stage in their education.

To quote a member of the Class of 1987: “…it was a glorious, exciting party.”
